This weekend the weather was beautiful and we again found an interesting local fall festival. This one is known for its pumpkins, corn maze, and neuer Wein (new wine, recently made, not fully fermented; like spiked grape juice). We made the most of it despite Rose, Evan and Rachel all being sick. It was just good to get outside. We enjoyed some Mais-Pfannkuchen (corn pancakes), Flammkuchen (thin crust French pizza with onion, bacon, and a mild white cheese called quark), waffels and some pumpkin cheesecake.
